READ A BOOK, GIFT A BOOK

wholeearth

Stop by the Southlake Library’s Jazzy Holiday Open House from 10:00-12:00 p.m. to enjoy live music, family crafts, and holiday fare. Before you’ve had your literary fill, take a two-minute stroll to Whole Earth Provision Co. down State Street.

For each new toy or new kid’s book purchased at Whole Earth Provision Co. on behalf of a child in need, the company will, in turn, give you a $5 Whole Earth Gift Certificate—perfect for stocking stuffers!

The company is in its sixth year of its Christmas toy drive, which benefits families seeking help at Christmas Cottage.

In addition to cookies and stocking stuffers, each family who seeks assistance from Christmas Cottage receives a board game and at least one book to encourage quality time with family.

GRACE GROCERY GAMES

Here’s some festive competition that also gives families a warm meal over the Christmas holiday. Divvy the GRACE Holiday Food Shopping List between your family, and the first team to complete their purchase at the checkout counter win yuletide freebies like eggnog and candy canes.

While you’re at the frozen section, get some cookie dough or ingredients to bake cookies as a family and reserve a batch for families who come to Christmas Cottage over the holidays.

Holiday food items can be dropped off at the GRACE Food Pantry, 837 East Walnut Street in Grapevine.

FAMILY CRAFT TIME

December is officially here, and it’s time to queue the family’s favorite Christmas movie, a hot cup of cocoa and DIY supplies for a covetable stocking stuffer.

In addition to receiving a dozen cookies, families are given various stocking stuffers reveal on Christmas morning. We’ve put together some ideas that would delight people of all ages!

Stocking stuffers, cookies and gifts can be dropped off at the 2017 Christmas Cottage, 3100 Timberline Drive in Grapevine.
